But not everything is electronics and technology. I am also very fond of
classical music, all the way from
Praetorius to
Carl Nielsen and
Havergal Brian. There is an incredible
amount of classical CDs, here is my favorite
brand Classico.
Also strange events and
curious "scientific" projects I
think can be funny to dig into.
From time to time I am looking into Immanuel Velikovsky's
theories concerning catastrophism. I find it refreshing now and then to look at things
from the more interdisciplinary point of view. A subscription the the e-mail newsletter Thoth
could be one of the ways to do it.
Having a surname that is very rare in Denmark, I have conducted some research of it, and I have found it to be the name of the
commander of a german
uboat during WW2.
I have also located a composer Theodor Oesten although he is not among the best known. Here is a
little of his piano music, and here is
some more found at the
National Library of Australia. Finally I have found a professor at the faculty
of forestry at the
university of Freiburg
and something about a
travelling photographer
in Australia.
